On 23 July, Jacob K in Year 4 competed at the NSWPSSA Cross-Country Championships. He delivered an outstanding performance in a tightly contested race. Sitting in second place for most of the event, he showed incredible determination to make a winning move on the final corner, crossing the finish line in first place in a time of 6:57 for his 2km event.

It was an exceptionally tough race, with the top seven boys finishing within just eight seconds of each other. Jacob’s impressive finish has earned him the opportunity to represent NSW at the School Sport Australia Cross-Country Championships in September.
