As we come to the close of another incredible year of learning and growth, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing partnership and support. Our students have accomplished so much, and soon it will be time to enjoy a well-earned break!
I’m looking forward to seeing families across a range of College events, including our Christmas Chapel, Graduation and Presentation Services. These occasions are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together as a community.

Keep Reading Over the Holidays
While rest is essential, one habit we encourage keeping alive is reading. Reading during the holidays does more than pass the time; it helps prevent the “summer slide,” where students can lose up to a month of learning during extended breaks. Research confirms that regular reading can maintain literacy skills, nurtures a love of stories, and keeps minds active. It also makes the transition back to school smoother and more enjoyable.
Here are some fun, age-appropriate ways to keep reading engaging:
  • Create a Holiday Reading Challenge; make a simple chart and set a goal, like reading five books or exploring five new topics.
  • Read Together; share a bedtime story or take turns reading pages aloud. Even older children enjoy listening to a good book!
  • Cook and Read; involve your child in reading recipes for holiday treats. It’s practical and fun!
  • Story Treasure Hunt; hide clues around the house that lead to the next part of a story or a new book.
  • Library Adventures; visit your local library and let your child choose books that spark their curiosity.
  • Audio Books for Road Trips; perfect for long drives, especially when you choose a story the whole family can enjoy.
Merry Christmas
As we celebrate Christmas, let’s remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. May this time be filled with joy, peace, and the hope that comes from His birth. Take time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and share His love with those around you.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season filled with rest, laughter, and plenty of great books!
